View Map: The links below will take you to selected USGS Business Partner Program (BP) and Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) partner sites where you may view USGS maps and aerial photo images map and view from your Web browser. The link to the map legend appears directly below the map and view. The map legend opens into its own window for reference as you are viewing the different map sections.
Some cities may have their name and their associated dot in two sections because of the way the map is divided up. In that case, it may be necessary to view both sections to get a clearer picture of where the city is map and view.
These documents are in Adobe Map and Wiew format and can only be opened in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Please contact your Local Help Desk if you cannot open map and view from your computer.

Viewing the Earth: You can view either a map of the Earth showing the day and night regions at this moment, or view the Earth from the Sun, the Moon, the night side of the Earth, above any location on the planet specified by latitude, longitude and altitude, from a satellite in Earth orbit, or above various cities around the globe.

To use the Earth and Moon Viewer, you need a graphical Web browser with forms support and the ability to display GIF and JPEG images. In order to pan around the map or globe by clicking within the image, your browser must support "Client-Side Image Maps"--if you don't know what this means, don't worry: if your browser doesn't support the feature, you'll see a page which explains how to proceed.
